Turning our garage into our master bedroom!!

This year, in August, we welcomed our 5th child to our family. With a big family comes a big house. Our 3 bedroom 2 bath house was just not gonna cut it anymore. Luckily, my husband renovates homes for a living and we happened to have an attached garage that we didn’t use. Win, win!

Christmas 2019, we found out we were expecting our 5th child. We couldn’t possibly add another child to our family without making more room. Long story short- when we had our 4th child in 2016.. he was supposed to have already had this done. Finally, I told him since I was giving him another child lol ...He could finish.. or should I say start... turning our garage into our master bedroom. So he built a detached garage/workshop outside our home and started renovating our attached garage. Yay!!!

We had a laundry room with a half bath and small little closet that led out to the attached garage that we tore out about a year ago lol.. We will be turning that space into our master bath.... but as you can guess... that’s at a stand still right now. I’m patiently waiting to have a bathroom downstairs again! One bathroom for 7 people is chaos.. But when your husband does it for a living, everyone else’s houses comes before mine in his line of work but that’s okay😊

We took out the garage door and added it to our new garage- saved some money being able to reuse the door and not having to buy another one. We then put in french doors where the garage door used to be. Closed in this little nook that we had- which made the perfect walk in closet!

I thought I’d share the finished room with guys! He did such an amazing job and I and I’m absolutely IN LOVE with it!! Everything linked from our bedroom below!
