Here is the 411 on how to save money on your wardrobe!!
I love.. Wait let me say that again.. I LOVE buying clothes.. and don’t get me started on shoes. I may have a problem. But let’s face it.. My bank account and husband say other wise. He’s definitely a T-shirt and jeans kinda guy.. So he doesn’t quite understand why a girl has to have the same top in 3 different colors or 20 pairs of shoes lol.. So in order to justify it to my husband lol… AND be able to afford to keep my closet full.. I’ve had to learn how to cut corners and save money, while still buying the things I love.
A Good Dupe
First things first.. I’m not one to have to have real authentic pieces of jewelry, handbags, shoes, etc. That doesn’t mean I haven’t splurged for special occasions but I don’t have to have designer. Knock offs are still in. Just now we call them dupes. And everyone seems to be on the trend for good dupe. I can't justify buying $1,000 purse when I could get the look -a- likes for $24!! Maybe one day... A girl can dream right?! But for now... Knockoffs suit me just fine!! There are so many good dupes out there that don’t break the bank! And I will definitely share my favorites with you when I come across them!
Just to show you an example of a good dupe. Here are the Gucci faux mules priced at $995.

Here I’m wearing these from Target for less than $25!
Shoe Size Trick
Now I like I said before. I have a love for shoes. Or maybe obsession. No lie, as I’m writing this.. UPS just dropped off a pair…My husband does not understand my obsession.. but that’s okay because I don’t understand his obsession to have such a perfect, green, striped yard.. (side note.. Who else has a husband that is a little obsessive over his yard? Glad I’m not the only one😜) So in order to keep up my shoe buying habit.. I found a neat little trick to help save some cash. I buy kids sizes!! I’m about a 8 1/2-9 in shoes which is a 6-6 /12 in kids! This saves so money! Not just a couple dollars but even a couple 10’s or more!! I’ll put the chart here so you can see what size you’d be in kids!!
Staple Items
Another trick I have, is to buy good staple items that can be styled multiple ways. I don't usually buy something that can be worn just once or one way. Unless I just have to. Like for special occasions. My closet is full of neutral items like.. T-shirts, dresses, and shoes that can be worn a few different ways! Basic color T-shirts and tanks are great to wear alone with a pair of jeans.. Or to add layers to an outfit. Black, white, and brown are my favorite colors to buy because they go with everything! Another favorite staple of mine is button up shirts. You can wear them alone, over the top of a tee, or tied around your waist! I also always try to buy neutral shoes that can be worn with multiple outfits!!
Purge and Second Hand
I am always purging my closet. If I haven’t worn it in awhile, and by awhile, I mean in the last year.. I sell it or take it to a consignment. Hint Hint- another way to buy new clothes! And, second hand clothing is my jam... Wait, do we even say "my jam anymore" LOL.. I would much rather buy second hand (Something that has been gently worn) than pay full price. Oh, and I always, always use a coupon. If it don't have a coupon. I ain't buying it. I can't tell you how many emails I have made up just so I could get that free shipping or %15 off LOL!!
So, whether or not you have a fashion obsession like me or just need to find ways to save some cash.. I hope these tips and trips help! Be sure to check out my wardrobe here 👉🏼 http://liketoknow.it/rosepartyof_7
